No sign of intelligent life anywhere...

So its getting very close to the time of year when we all start thinking of what we would like off Santa Claus, and this fella has been a regular on the list for the last few years in my house (we've five boys and a girl, so obviously we tend to fall victim to Disneys marketing machine quite a bit!).
The snow we've been having seems to be getting everyone in the Christmas mood too, we nearly put up our christmas tree this weekend. Its still November!

Drawn while at work in the comic shop.

Well, somebody had to...

Couldn't really have a Kryptonian week without the big fella, could we? This one was a quick sketch (about 20 minutes) done in Biro, and then all jazzed up in Photoshop. I should do more drawings in biro, they seem to flow a bit easier over the page and you end up with different results than normal. Either that or I care less about what happens!

Its the new guy!

Hello all, I'm Ger Hankey, the new Sketchpaddy! (Mansloth is letting me log in as him till they sort out all the techy details).
So a little bit about me I suppose, I'm an indie (i.e. unemployable) comic artist, and I've done a couple of comics so far, Celtic Knights with Stephen Coffey & Short Sharp Shocks that I wrote & drew myself. I got into comic art from being a Transformers fan since I was seven, and I still tend to do a lot more drawing robots than is probably healthy! I'm currently working on some Transformers scripts so you might see some of that up on the blog when I run out of other stuff to show!
But since its my first time here I though I'd do up a sketch especially (I even went to the bother of colouring it too!)
So enjoy Supergirl, but don't get too excited, I'll probably be back to giant feckin' robots by next time!

Red Ghost p9

w page from Red Ghost. This is really coming together for me, getting to draw some wicked stuff.

We have a new member of Sketch Paddys. Someone I am very proud to have contribute some of his amazing artwork to the blog.
I will keep his identity secret until he is ready to post, so keep a look out.

Got to meet Nick Roche at the weekend. The guys portfolio nearly made my eyes bleed. He was really cool guy.

Anywho,

PEACE!!!!
