Robs Ode to Ciaran Finishegan.
Well here is my response to c's request, Magneto.
Which as you can see is not Magneto, but John Horas from Warren Ellis's Black Summer which is amazing.
It did start out as a Magneto pic, but developed passed that to be what it is, what it was and what it will be.What?
For Cormac i want The Plutonian, from Irredeemable. Only got the first 3 issues and think it rocks.
Finally the reason for the title.
Ciaran has left us. As i write this through tears of joy,, or sorrow, I want to say that we will miss his timing and challenge choices. but i wont miss the fact that he is the only person I have ever met that I could smell through the internet.
You will be missed, and I cant wait for the odd guest appearance.
Combibo meus gallo ciaran
Sketch Paddys will continue as before but a renewed purpose. we rise from this as a Phoenix from the ashes, and we will be launching the largest artist battle in the history of mankind. "Mankind." That word should have new meaning for all of us. We can't be consumed by our petty differences anymore. We will be united in our common interests. Perhaps it's fate that today is the 13th of September, and we will once again be drawing for our freedom... Not from tyranny, oppression, or persecution... but from annihilation. We are drawing for our right to live. To exist. And should we draw this day, Sketch Paddys will no longer be known as an Irish Weekly SketchBlog, but as the blog the world declared in one voice: "We will not go quietly into the night!" We will not vanish without a fight! We're going to live on! We're going to survive! Today we celebrate our Sketch Paddys!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
